Horizon – building an agency’s insight proposition

The Challenge
I was brought into Only The Brave to help the agency evolve from a content-led model into one capable of supporting a broader strategic remit.
Already working with household brands, there was a clear opportunity to strengthen how insight and strategy could lead creative work, win new clients, and turn insight into a distinct commercial offer.
The Strategy
Drawing on my experience working with different research models and tools, I met with specialist partners and platforms, assessing their offer and commercial fit before proposing a considered suite to the MD and CEO.
This gave us a flexible system and methodology designed to support both speed and rigour. One that could scale, and always result in actionable insight.
Working with AMJ on the development and delivery of new strategic tools was not only an essential part of enabling Only the Brave’s growth but, rewarding in itself. AMJ is transformative in her thinking, rigour and creativity.

The Positioning
I named the proposition Horizon: reflecting a constantly shifting landscape, built to help clients understand their position, what’s changing, and how to move forwards.
In partnership with the senior leadership team, I then packaged complex research approaches in a way that felt clear, commercial and easy to buy into.
Results you can count on
Horizon moved quickly from proposition to practice. Within four weeks of launch, we secured Inspired Pet Nutrition and began consulting with Amazon.
From there, I worked consultatively with a number of clients, helping them organise and interpret existing insight, identify gaps, and select the right combination of tools and approaches to support specific business challenges.

Persimmon Homes
A Reputation & Potential study demonstrating a brand challenge beyond category-level noise. Supporting the Marketing Director in securing internal agreement for brand repositioning.

LloydsPharmacy
Horizon underpinned our appointment as brand guardian, replacing the incumbent ATL agency to support internal team and brand alignment, including cross-category customer comms.

White papers
A series of Horizon-led white papers demonstrating the translation of complex insight into clear, commercial thinking. Supporting broader strategic discussions.

From new business initiative to landing a client project in less than four weeks. Very impressive.
